Dr. Douglas R. Bramwell, known as Dr. D-Roy, is an anointed vocalist, talented writer, and composer. Compared to gospel greats like Marvin Winans, Marvin Sapp, and Darwin Hobbs, he has carved out his own unique sound and style. His debut album, "…In Endless Praise," earned him nominations for the 2009 Caribbean Gospel Best New Male Artist Award and Album of the Year, with the hit single "Stand" also nominated for Song of the Year.
A native of Jamaica, Douglas dedicated his life to Christ at the age of 13 and has since used his musical talents to honor God. He has chartered singing groups, established young musicians, and led choirs in Jamaica and the United States. In addition to his music career, Douglas has a background in broadcasting. He started his own online radio station, GL365 Radio, in 2016, which has been syndicated with over 25 other radio stations worldwide. He hosts popular shows like The Gospel Joy Morning Show and Reggae UnInterrupted, interviewing prominent and upcoming gospel artists.
Douglas's contributions to music and broadcasting have been recognized with several awards, including an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Emet Global Theological Seminary & College and the Lifetime Achievement Award from The Caribbean Gospel Legends Music Awards. In 2022, he was awarded A Lifetime Achievement Award by President Joseph Biden’s Administration for his years of service in the medical and broadcasting industry and also the impact he bestowed in his church and community. He currently resides in Houston, Texas, with his wife, gospel artist Broushel Anola, and their children, Zachery and Tyler. He is the President and CEO of Brammo Music Productions and Brammo Entertainment Group.
